OUR FLOWER FARM
An active, thriving microbial life is the foundation of healthy, living soil. In our garden, we work with nature, focusing on boosting ecosystems and biodiversity - both above and below ground.
By using sustainable growing methods, we create the perfect conditions for plants to grow strong, on their own terms.
To reduce the risk of pests and diseases, we avoid monoculture. Instead, we embrace diversity, companion planting, and natural methods to build up the plants' resilience.
Everything is done by hand. We treat the soil with care to protect its natural balance and keep the life within it thriving.

PLANT CARE & HEALTH
Every plant we sell is numbered, so we can trace it back to its mother tuber. This means we can instantly check and follow up on the parent plant if we ever suspect a virus.
We are very picky about where we get our new plants and love teaming up with small-scale growers who focus on sustainability and quality. Any new tubers we bring in are potted separately to minimize the risk of spreading any diseases.
Let’s be real: a 100% virus-free nursery is hard, if not impossible to achieve. Viruses can spread, for example, through pests carrying them from nearby gardens.
Some dahlias look great for a while even with a virus, but over time, their vitality drops, and they often die. An infected plant also risks spreading it to others, mostly via sap-sucking insects or through the soil.
Viruses can stay hidden (latent) in plants for a long time, making it hard to know when or where an infection started. That’s why we constantly check our plants and rogue out any suspects throughout the growing season. We sterilize our tools thoroughly and take a preventative approach to create a balanced garden—using companion planting, crop rotation, and beneficial bugs.
Even though we can’t guarantee 100% virus-free plants, we do our absolute best to only sell strong, healthy plants.
